Well on our way and well...

Well, M and I are really getting excited for the upcoming youngster. Last weekend we had dinner with some friends of ours who happen to be only a couple weeks ahead of us in the cycle of life...it is nice to know people who are traveling the same path as you.

The home improvements are coming along nicely: I am fully moved in to my little cave and our bedroom (formerly the guest room) is about ready for the plaster repair man. Once that is done, we need to paint, finish the floor, fix the closet, decorate, and move in. Then it is off to To-Be's nursery (currently our room) for the same make-over.

In my research for the repair job I confirmed that out house is older than the previous owners reported...and is likely a Sears model. I like that fact and it makes me feel better about the remodel which begins to feel more like a restoration when the house gains the feeling of "soul".

Anyway, the countdown continues for the next ultrasound. We had an OB appointment on Valentines day and everything sounded good...it's still at around 150 beats per minute. M is feeling "fine and great, ready to be done" (sentiment that frustrates me considering how far away July really is). She's feeling the occasional kick, pinch, twang, and cramp of the kid and the rearrangement of her guts but the joy, I'm sure, is the strongest feeling of all.
