Blossoming, still, into something great...

Well, M and I had a wonderful weekend. When God shines, the light is so true you cannot doubt his blessing.

Our first weekend as prospective parents of a baby boy was highlighted by a room in the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, Room 1987, The Louisiana Suite. We had our little de-stress weekend planned with a package deal in the Hotel but never thought we would be so lucky. The room was over 850 square feet and had sweeping views of the Grand River and GR's south, west, and north sides. After a Friday of running around, registering for the baby showers, etc. we were truly ready for a relaxing evening. When we got to the room we were so amazed by the digs I called the front desk to make sure we were in the right place. Indeed. Not wanting such a cool room to go to waste, we ordered room service (dinner and breakfast) and just absorbed the hole thing. Saturday we went to dinner with my mom and Sunday we visited with her side for the day. It was nice to be around our close family.

Anyone who knows me knows I am a sappy guy...age has not worn that entirely out of me. I want everyone to know, especially M, that my wife is THE most important person in my life and I love her truly. This experience is made all that much more special by sharing it with such a wonderful, understanding, strong woman. More than I deserve, no doubt.

Now And Forever
by Richard Marx

Whenever I'm weary from the battles that rage in my head
You make sense of madness when my sanity hangs by a thread
I lose my way but still you seem to understand
Now and forever I will be your man.

Sometimes I just hold you
Too caught up in me to see
I'm holding a fortune that heaven has given to me
I'll try to show you each and every way I can
Now and forever I will be your man

Now I can rest my worries and always be sure
That I won't be alone anymore
If I'd only known you were there all the time
All this time

Until the day the ocean doesn't touch the sand
Now and forever I will be your man
Now and forever I will be your man

I love you Mama to be!
