Mi Casa es Su Casa

Well, I am excited for the arrival of that little thing (a.k.a "To-Be"), no doubt. But...

...the list of what needs to get done around this house is about to run me ragged:

1) Move my home office out of the future-nursery (move to where?)
2) Construct a "space" for Jay...a study in the basement
3) Move the adult's bedroom to the To-Be's room
4) Gut and remodel the big-kids room.
5) Gut and remodel the bathroom, install the obligatory tub/shower to replace our existing shower-only. Not an easy task in such a small space (and other issues...)
6) Re-shuffle and get started on To-Be's nest: Gut and remodel.

As Scott Bakula's character, Sam Beckett, would say on the old TV show Quantum Leap, "Oh Boy."

Well, the second step is out of the way, the room is built, albeit a little cold this time of the year, and the Dell is setup; next to move more junk and my library down and get moving on the rest. When is that kid going to arrive? Well, just over 7 months and counting.

Anyway, Melissa is out of the terrible first trimester and into the "honeymoon" trimester. She is feeling a little better, is able to eat, looking marvelous, and a wee little belly is becoming evident. Our next doctors appointment is one week from today and we should have a little more fun to report at that time. But for the sake of posterity, I must say I have never been more attracted to the "woman" my wife is. I am even getting used to her driving style. This kid really could be a miracle.

The name debate rolls on. Not a debate really, but for a couple who had so much worked out in advance, choosing a lifelong name is a big deal. Silly, maybe, I know.
