Lets Go Shopping!

Today (5/15/08) we headed to the mall for a little running around & energy burning with Cal's buddy Kevin. The two took a little while to rev up....and then they were off - running, jumping & climbing on everything. It was a great way to spend the afternoon, hopefully it will lead to a lot of sleep tonight. :-) M

Fun on the Wee!!!

Calvin LOVES playing outside on the "wee" (which is what he calls any jungle gym, swing set or slide). Although our yard is VERY small, we have managed to fit a very LARGE jungle gym in it. He loves it because there are two slides, a couple of tunnels and lots of places he can get to where we can't get him...he hates coming inside....hates it. He is definitely headed for age 2 - Terrible Two is what we have been told. But, how can such a cute little man be any kind of trouble? :-) M

Happy Mommy's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day everyone! We had a great Mother's Day this year - Cal could even say it to all the mamas we saw that day. And despite all three of us being under the weather, we spent a great family day together. We went to church, out to lunch and then made the family rounds. And when we got home we all played Little People (Cal's current favorite).

The Tulips are Bloomin' in Holland, MI!!

It's Tulip Time!!! The tulips & tourists are here! On Thursday (5/8/08) Cal & I joined Logan & Judy for one of the many Tulip Time parades in Holland. After walking "forever", we found the perfect spot in one of the pavilions, right by all the great carnie food, where we could sit at a table and enjoy the parade. We even saw our friends Robin & Lilly walking in the parade. (Great job girls!!) It was a fun way to spend our Thursday and the weather was just right for a parade. We even managed to get some good pictures of the boys tiptoeing through the tulips. :-)M

It's Getting Warmer!!

Today (5/5/08), Cal & I went to the beach - our first trip of the year. We met our friends Dianna & Kevin & Beth, Hannah & Amelia at Northshore Beach in Ferrysburg. It was a gorgeous day, even if it was a little cold, and we had a great time - we were there for 2 1/2 hours! The kids had a blast running around, playing on the jungle gym and enjoying all the sand toys we brought. I am sure it will be the first of many beach adventures for the whole lot of us. :-) M

Calvin loves the ladies!!

Today, (5/4/08) Jay & I watched our friends girls, Kaeli & Kaitlyn - Calvin's first true loves. He is, age wise, smack-dab in the middle of them by 6 months. He LOVES playing with the girls and asks about them EVERYDAY!! Having them over is always an adventure (3 kids 2 & under) but it is also always a fun time, they play together great & they all took a nap at the same time!! :-)M
